Capital: Lautern
Systems: 1
Planets: 3GovernmentThe Encan-Sinian Commonwealth is a Federal One-Party Socialist Republic, presided over by a General Secretary elected from the General Assembly in a manner similar to the Union's own form of government. Governed by a socialist-leaning "Unity Party" with fraternal ties to the Union, the government adopts a similar standpoint of a socialist state of workers and farmers, but takes a more liberal bent, with a greater emphasis on government welfare and social democracy. While the government is more or less a one-party republic, they do allow for some representation from smaller parties with different political leanings, if only as part of a coalition ultimately subservient to the Unity Party.
Increasing attempts at economic liberalization and forging a more self-supporting path has led to a schism in Encan-Sinian politics, caught between these liberal-minded "revisionists" and the more hardcore "traditionalists" who prefer stronger ties with the Union. All the while, this has led to a series of recent purges by the Encan-Sinian Ministry for State Security, of individuals up to the highest echelons of government.
EconomyLike the Pergrandian Union, the Encan-Sinian Commonwealth also possesses a planned economy. The Commonwealth's factories are diverse, producing both light consumer goods and heavy machinery for export to less-developed worlds. The relative wealth of the Commonwealth ensures that its citizens received a high standard of living, even higher than some parts of the Pergrandian Union. Consumer goods produced in the Commonwealth consistently prove popular throughout the federative republics, border worlds, and even beyond. Electronics manufactured in the Commonwealth are known for their quality, and sometimes even find themselves in the markets of the Federation.
Situated in the Kupra System, Lautern was––and continues to be––a major hub for trade throughout the Tannhauser Arm. Shipping is still an important part of the Commonwealth's economy, although with the rise of piracy in the system, shipping in the region has declined. Nonetheless, the Commonwealthis a major gateway for the Union to trade with the rest of the core system.
More to follow.

Among the countries under the Union's sphere of influence, the Encan-Sinian Commonwealth by far maintains among the most formidable armies within their military pact, though in comparison to its benefactor their numbers comprise very little. For the most part, the Encan-Sinian Armed Forces comprises an all-volunteer army, only resorting to conscripts when necessary. Ultimately carving a reputation for discipline, thoroughness of training, and quality officer leadership, Encan-Sinian soldiers often receive aid in the form of Union military equipment, and their relatively close proximity to the Federation and the Großesreich results in their units––alongside detached Union garrisons on the planet––being equipped with the latest in the Union's arms and armor. This does the Encan-Sinian Commonwealth supplement with weapons and vehicles locally produced, and a sizable surplus capable of outfitting a large conscript army exists should the need arise.
Encan-Sinian doctrine in combat relies on a hybrid of Union Grand Battleplan strategy, with highly-trained mobile units for an ever-changing situation similar to the doctrine that the Federation prefers. Flexible defense lines centered around strategic locations are a key element of Encan-Sinian military planning, and mobile warfare with Motor Rifles divisions to harass and whittle down more advanced forces do they prioritize.
Furthermore, the Encan-Sinian Navy is also nothing to scoff at. Disproportionate to their relatively small size, the Encan-Sinian Navy has been fairly pro-active in conducting security operations both within their own borders and as ISC affiliated units. Typically comprised of Union-licensed designs that have been extensively upgraded and augmented, Encan-Sinian naval vessels are easily comparable in power projection to ships of the Permanent members of the Unified Planets Security Council. However, there are only so many Encan-Sinian vessels in service, and in a protracted battle they cannot succeed.
